Most paid accommodation
Poll conducted by Visa works with PATA shows, the international travel at most a third of the funds spent to pay for accommodation. Seturut poll results titled "Setting the Preferences in the Goal of Tourism to the Year 2009 and future" which received Kompas.com, Friday (6 / 3), outside the ticket costs, accommodation determine the portion of 30 percent of budget travel.
Furthermore, tourists often rub international credit card to pay for food and beverages (22 percent), shopping in the duty-free shops in the airport tax (10 percent), buy clothes and accessories (9 percent), and cash in the ATM (8 percent).
Then, the remaining budget is usually spent to buy trinkets other goods and works of art including carvings, sports clothing, electronic goods and electrical equipment, leather goods and bags. "Things such as important places to try and stay local cuisine is the main source of expenditure when traveling abroad," said Visa Country Manager for Indonesia Ellyana Fuad.
Poll also noted that the average holiday budget for international travel as much as 2302 U.S. dollars per person.
This poll was conducted online by Synovate in August 7-28 since 2008 involving 5,554 respondents from 11 major travel markets in the Asia Pacific (Australia, China, Chinese Taipei, France, Hong Kong, India, Japan, Korea, Singapore, United Kingdom, and United States States) on the previous tour and travel itinerary to come.
For each market, the respondents are internet users, aged 18 years and over, never travel holiday tour in two years ago, or plan to do so in 2009 or 2010. (Source: Kompas)
